Rochelle Zell Jewish High School offers students, staff and faculty a range of technologies designed to support excellence in teaching and learning. Classroom technology includes SMART Boards, document cameras, and LCD projectors. There is a computer lab along with charging and print stations in the library for student use. We have also added a mobile computer lab and 3D print station. Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.
Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT)
To offer more personalized student-centered learning, Rochelle Zell adopted a BYOT policy beginning fall of 2015. Students are encouraged to bring their own device for educational use under the direction of a teacher or administrator. Laptops and MacBooks are preferred as they support software that may be required at all levels. Chromebooks, Android Tablets and Apple iPads are light and portable and may work in certain situations, but are limited in functionality.
Rochelle Zell students and families have access to numerous resources to continue and support learning off campus.
|Students receive school email accounts in addition to multiple downloads of the FULL Microsoft Office Suite for use on personal devices.
|Google Apps for Education
|Google education accounts provide additional resources for students beyond Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
|Course sites and calendars are accessible to students on Canvas. Parents may also create an account to observe course activity. (See Family Portal for more information.)
|Our school database allows for attendance and grade tracking 24/7. Parents may also sign-up to have weekly or monthly grade reports sent via email. (See Family Portal for more information.)
