Cantor Szenes-Strauss has a B.A. in Music from Brandeis University and M.S.M. and Cantorial Investiture from Jewish Theological Seminary; he has also taken coursework in Education and Jewish Studies at New York University. Lawrence has taught Bible and Rabbinics at Solomon Schechter Day School where he also developed Jewish Studies curricula. In addition, he has taught at Am Yisrael Congregation, Temple Micah in Washington, DC and at Congregation Beth Israel in Vancouver.
