Office of Admissions Update

We understand the concern and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are committed to being responsive to the needs of our community. Although the Rochelle Zell Jewish High School building is currently closed, the Office of Admissions will be monitoring emails and voicemails during this time. Our admissions office is still accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Please contact us at either 847-324-3706 or [email protected]

Please note we will have limited remote office hours during our Passover break beginning April 6 through April 17th.

A new episode of our podcast is out!

Over a Zoom call, we sit down with 2020 team captains, seniors Maytal Meisler and Betsy Winick, along with faculty advisors Mr. Dale Griffith and Ms. June Kramer to learn a bit more about the program.

Model UN receives the NHSMUN Conference's Top Team Award for the 6th Consecutive Year!

Representing Saudi Arabia, Rochelle Zell Jewish High School students won the following team awards (both awards are the highest team awards given in their respective categories):

• Team Conference Award of Distinction (the highest team award given at the conference)

• Research and Preparation Award of Distinction (one of only three such awards given at the conference)

Over the last several weeks, we have adapted to an ever-changing crisis. We have found strength in one other, in our mission, and in ensuring that RZJHS remains a pillar for our students and their families during this time. And although we are facing an unprecedented challenge, RZJHS remains steadfast in its mission to create a culture of academic excellence that inspires and prepares our students to think critically, achieve their full potential, and live Judaism as responsible and involved citizens in the modern world.

We acknowledge the financial impact COVID-19 has had on our families, yet it is too early to know the full impact. What we do know is that we can expect a significant increase in the need for tuition assistance for the coming school year.

This is why today, May 5, RZJHS will join nonprofits all around the world for #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity created to help organizations respond to the impact that COVID-19 has had on their communities.

Every dollar that we raise on May 5 will directly support tuition assistance. We ask those who can to please join us for #GivingTuesdayNow. Every single gift, no matter the size, will have a tremendous impact on our community. If you have already made a gift to RZJHS this year, thank you. Please consider an additional gift. If you have not given this year, please consider making a gift to help to ensure that all who want an RZJHS education can afford to do so.

We are grateful for all you do to make RZJHS not just a school but a community.
