" RZJHS has helped me become a leader. The school has so many clubs and leadership roles that every student can get involved. Since I have been involved in many extracurricular activities, I have been able to grow as leader and find new causes to become passionate about."

Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends,
It is with tremendous excitement and gratitude that we share with you that our school has received a naming gift from the Zell Family Foundation. In honor of their extraordinary support, we are proud to announce that our school will be renamed Rochelle Zell Jewish High School (RZJHS).
Rochelle Zell is the grandmother of Matt Zell, parent of two of our former students.
This gift is one of three generous gifts that will bring the school closer to eliminating its debt. The school has redeemed Series B Bonds in full with a gift from the Crown Family specifically for this purpose. The school is set to receive a significant gift from the Harvey L. Miller Supporting Foundation in January.
This is a thrilling milestone in our school’s history, and for us as a community. In the coming weeks and months, you will notice a series of changes to our website, e-mail addresses, logo, signage, printed materials and athletic uniforms, among other things. While the name will change, the school will otherwise remain the same for our students and staff. We remain true to our mission of creating a “culture of academic excellence that inspires our students to think critically and achieve their full potential, while preparing them to live Judaism as responsible and involved citizens in the modern world.”
This is a joyous occasion for our entire community. We are planning a dedication ceremony for the Spring of 2016 to celebrate this extraordinary milestone. Please join us in recognizing the dedication of our faculty and staff, the value of our diverse student body and their families, and the many accomplishments of our alumni.
We look forward to celebrating with you now and in the spring.
