" The turning point in my life was coming to RZJHS because that was when I became a leader. I was empowered by my teachers and I learned how to be a good student. I developed a good work ethic, I took initiative, and I got to shape a lot of things that are still in existence at RZJHS today. I definitely wouldn’t trade my unique experience for anything."
Over 100 participants joined us last weekend as the preeminent scholars of the Jewish Theological Seminary descended upon Rochelle Zell for a day of study with our community during the Isidor and Rose Wagner Institute. The theme of the Institute was Relating to the Other in Jewish Texts and With Jewish Values. Attendees enjoyed a variety of learning sessions on topics such as The Scholarly Woman and The Other in Current Jewish Interreligious Dialogue. The Rochelle Zell junior class also had the opportunity to learn with JTS Chancellor Arnold Eisen. Mazal tov to junior Natalie Ecanow and senior Aviva Hirsch for winning the annual Esther K.
