" RZJHS has helped me become a leader. The school has so many clubs and leadership roles that every student can get involved. Since I have been involved in many extracurricular activities, I have been able to grow as leader and find new causes to become passionate about."
Donor Sponsored Tuition Incentives
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce a two-year pilot program, beginning in the 2014-15 school year, to meet the financial needs of our current population as well as provide an incentive for families to join our school community
1. Elective scholarship
Families will have the option to elect a tuition reduction for each student attending CJHS at one of two levels, based on the family’s own assessment of its need. This will allow families to secure a scholarship for either $1,800 or $3,600 per student without having to submit an application for tuition assistance.
The elective scholarship levels are:
$1,800 per student
$3,600 per student
The elective scholarship check-off form will accompany the Tuition Assistance and New Tuition Incentives page and can be accessed by clicking here.
Families who wish to receive more than the elective scholarship should instead submit an application through our tuition assistance process (FACTS) by clicking here.
2. First time family scholarship
Families who are new to our school with either a freshman or transfer student can check off an additional $5,000 elective scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship per family which is being underwritten by an anonymous donor who is invested in the continued growth of our school population.
Each of these initiatives is being offered as a two-year pilot program. At the end of the two years, our Board of Directors, along with the donor, will assess whether these programs will continue.
Full cost tuition payment option
Tuition at CJHS, as with most private schools, does not cover the full cost to educate a student. While tuition for the 2014-2015 school year is $22,900, the actual cost to educate each student at CJHS is $29,300, with the difference being covered through fund raising. Families will have the option to check off a box on the enrollment agreement to pay the full cost to educate their child(ren). If families elect to pay the full $29,300 (plus fees), $6,400 (per full-cost tuition paid) qualifies as a contribution; and the school will issue a tax letter for that amount.
