Builds responsible and involved citizens who are dedicated to Tikkun Olam
Rochelle Zell is passionate about preserving God’s world and making it a more peaceful place through individual and collective commitment to programs of social justice and public policy. The school and its students strive to exert a positive influence in the Chicagoland area and beyond. Students and their families are actively encouraged to undertake the responsibilities of leadership and service to others. Throughout the year, students develop and deliver numerous tzedekah programs and chesed activities. To help them understand and experience the connection between our Jewish values and political and civic commitment, students also engage in leadership activities throughout the city, state and nation.
"The turning point in my life was coming to RZJHS because that was when I became a leader. I was empowered by my teachers and I learned how to be a good student. I developed a good work ethic, I took initiative, and I got to shape a lot of things that are still in existence at RZJHS today. I definitely wouldn’t trade my unique experience for anything."
